The inhabitants of Mitrovica were trying, with a force that only those who have lost everything can feel, to rebuild their houses of which nothing remained but wasteland, foundations, or at best, shreds of walls witnessing the violence of the facts ...
There were only eight thousand intact houses left in the area out of a total of ... twenty eight thousand.
